My story

My name is Jenny Bowling and I’ve been owner of Akron Microblading since 2016. I am a mother of two precious children; my daughter, Francesca and my son, Cash. Being a mom is absolutely the biggest blessing I could ever have in my life. I cherish every second with my family. It may sound cliché; but I try to show my kids that beauty is on the inside. And we are all people and to treat everyone with kindness. I know it not easy being different; especially as a kid.

I have been in the beauty industry for over 15 years and have a passion for what I do. I am so blessed to wake up every day do what I truly love. Every day is a new opportunity to change lives by making people feel beautiful & give them the brows of their dreams. Over the years I knew have gained a plethora of experience helping people look their best and feel good inside and out. I’ve worked for MAC as a freelance makeup artist and have been an Esthetician since 2015. Because of my personal experience, I have an eye for extreme detail and use my artistic talent to provide excellence in symmetry, shape, and color for your beautiful new eyebrows.

Many people do not know this, but I was born with a birth defect. I was a born with giant hairy nevus on my face at the end of my brow. It wasn’t easy for me as a child. Let’s just say kids weren’t that nice. I was constantly being teased and it made me so sad as little girl just trying to fit in. For years I struggled with kids asking what was wrong with my eye and they called me terrible names that I won’t mention. The doctors said they couldn’t help me until my face had developed more so I did my best to hide it.

After years of torment and embarrassment finally, at the age of 13, I was able to get surgery. I then had 2 major surgeries and the doctor was able to stretch my skin and remove the birth defect, taking half of my brow with it. Since then I’ve been drawing my brows on. Permanent makeup has since changed my life. It was the one thing that made me feel confident again. I’ve always wanted to have an opportunity to help people and make a positive impact on people and I followed my heart to my true calling.
